I  came into contact with yoga about ten years ago. I have explored many styles, but Ashtanga has captured my heart with its discipline, its depth and the quiet magic of doing the same thing every day and yet never the same. Although yoga had been part of my life for a while, it wasn’t until my forties that I felt the call to go deeper. I began studying philosophy, committed to daily practice, and I enrolled in TTC 200 at the Pink Elephant Yoga Institute in 2023.

After only two classes I suffered a spinal fracture after a fall on the bus. During my recovery, pranayama became my only practice – a teacher in itself. It taught me patience with my body and the power of vairagya, non-attachment.

Getting back on the mat after several months was pure joy. Movement is my passion and I’m honored to share it. I believe that yoga isn’t about perfection – it’s about honesty, consistency, and being kind to ourselves. As someone who deals professionally with prison conditions, I hope that yoga will  become part of a wider rehabilitation program for prisoners because of its ability to develop compassion and discipline.

Today I am very happy to be teaching classes in the same studio where I became a teacher and I am immensely grateful to my teachers Marco and Petra Bianco for the knowledge they share with me and for all the support they give me. With great respect for the yogic tradition, I look forward to continuing my teacher training and diving even deeper into truly life-changing knowledge.
